I used the Kayak, Expedia, Orbitz and GoogleFlights in researching this assignment.

Influence of travel dates and cities

I tried to find flights between February 14th, 2020 and March 6th, 2020. I tried to find flights to Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.

Cheapest flight to Germany

I have always wanted to go to Germany. I chose to pick Germany to fly to from Omaha. The distance makes the tickets very expensive making me wonder if the cheapest ticket is really the best. I used Kayak to find this ticket. The ticket I found is with United Airlines. The flight with United Airlines has 2 stops and is 30 hours long. The ticket is $2,499.45 from Omaha to Berlin. The plane to Berlin leaves at 6:20pm on Valentine’s Day. The plane back to Omaha leaves Berlin March 6th, 2020 at 9:55am.

Cheapest flight to Japan

I have always wanted to go to Japan. I chose to pick Tokyo, Japan to fly to from Omaha. Trying to find tickets that are coming up so soon makes the choices very expensive. I used Expedia to find this ticket. I found a ticket with Alaska Airlines and EVA Airways to Tokyo. The flight to Japan has 2 stops and is 33 hours long. The ticket from Expedia cost $1,416.45. The flight leaves February 15th, 2020 at 4pm. The flight back from Japan leaves at 8:20pm.

Cheapest flight to Brazil

I have always wanted to go to Brazil. I chose to pick to fly to Brazil from Omaha. Many of these trips have more than one stop. I used Orbitz to find this flight ticket to Brazil. The ticket I found is with Delta Airlines. The flight stops in Atlanta when leaving and returning. The ticket cost $1,377 per traveler. The flight is 16 hours long. The flight leaving Omaha is at 1:20pm February 16th, 2020. The flight leading Brazil is at 10:40pm.

I have always wanted to go to South Africa. I chose to fly to South Africa from Omaha. Many sites will use a caution sign on the ticket when the layover is extremely long. I used GoogleFlights to find this ticket. The ticket I found is with United and South African Airlines. The flight has 6 stops total. The ticket is $2,285.95. The flight is 28 hours both ways. The plane to South Africa leaves the 1st of March at 6am. The plane to Omaha from South Africa leaves at March 5th, 2020 at 6:05pm.
