Overvalued and undervalued currencies

On the Statista global prices or a big mac in January 2020 by country chart it lists the cost of a big mac of a handful of countries. The country with the highest cost of a big mac is Switzerland. The country with the lowest cost of a big mac is South Africa. Mexico, Egypt, and Russia are some of the cheaper countries to go to based on this chart. Norway, Sweden, and Brazil are some of the more expensive countries to go to based on this chart.

Tim Leffel says that Indonesia, Vietnam, and India are some of the cheapest places in Asia to travel to. Leffel also says Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan are prime spots in Africa for cheap travel. Hungary, Turkey, and the Czech Republic are some of the cheapest places to see in Europe. Guatemala is one of the cheapest places in the Americas. The top three cheapest places to see from the more modern list on indie traveler were Vietnam, the Baltic States, and Georgia. Laos, Mexico, and Argentina are four through six. Nepal, Romania, and Turkey are seven through 9 on indie travelers list. Number ten on the top ten cheapest places to travel to on indie traveler is Indonesia. Laos and Nepal replace India, while Indonesia and Vietnam remain cheap. Mexico is cheaper now than Guatemala. Turkey remains an easy trip. Many fell and some stayed cheap while comparing the chart and list.

Least expensive destination in the Eastern Hemisphere

I chose the Philippines as my eastern hemisphere location. I found a round trip leaving the 15th of March returning on the 5th of April for $969.85. I found a place called the L Fisher Hotel for $28 a night $588 total for 3 weeks. I chose the Philippines because English is the national language so I feel like that will make things easier. It is said that many can find meals for $3 in the Philippines. $100 will be for food.

Least expensive destination in the Western Hemisphere

I chose Mexico as my western hemisphere location. I found a round trip leaving the 15th of March returning on the 5th of April for $656. I found a hotel in Mexico City for $31 night $979 for 3 weeks. I chose Mexico because I felt like it would be more bang for your buck because it is so close to the United states already. Food will be around 150-200 dollars for 3 weeks on 100-peso meals.

Safety Factor

Mexico is the lowest ranked country in central America for safety. Mexico has an overall 140 safest country rating. I feel the cartel has something to do with Mexico being so dangerous. The Philippines is the second more dangerous country in Asia with a 137 safest country. The Philippines is known for kidnapping and human trafficking. The two countries I chose are very dangerous and some of the lowest ranked in their respective areas. Being more dangerous might be a reason why they are so cheap. The United States is the 121st safest country. The United States being 121 makes me feel a little better about Mexico and the Philippines rankings. Iceland is the safest country followed by New Zealand.

What do you think of the Leffel quote:

"You'll learn far more than you ever did at a university.
He is wrong a good class can teach you about much more than a subject. It takes a good teacher and the right group of people and something special can happen. When classes are not taken seriously by teachers it can give off the image that this statement is true. It is important that we weed out the teachers that do not put in effort so that school can remain the place to gain knowledge.
